About the March
The 2025 Windsor DRAW THE LINE March is part of a global mobilization and national day of action to stand united for justice in every part of our lives. This movement goes beyond climate — we stand together with Indigenous, migrant, economic, racial, and anti-war movements building a better future by saying:
- Yes to federal investment in affordable, climate-resilient housing for working class Canadians // No to housing as a profit machine for developers and speculators
- Yes to a national east-west clean energy grid that creates good jobs and secures Canada’s energy independence // No to pipelines that lock us into a dying industry responsible for the extreme weather events caused by climate change.
- Yes to taxing mega-corporations/billionaires and price-gouging companies to fund public climate & social solutions // No to gutting public services and letting the ultra-rich continue to increase their wealth while so many people struggle
- Yes to following Indigenous leadership on the path to a just, sustainable future // No to fast tracking projects that trample on Indigenous rights and consent, and repeat a colonial model of development in the name of economic progress.
- Yes to supporting well funded educational institutions which provide barrier free access to education // No to Bill 33 and other efforts to centralize educational institutions and remove democratic rights of students and faculty.
